Brass eurocone adapters for multilayer pipes KAN - change of construction

In the installation practice we often observe that multilayer pipes PE-RT / Al / PE are being not correctly prepared for connection to Eurocone adapter, for example, while connecting pipes to manifolds.

The problem is the complete lack or incorrect calibration and beveling of the pipe tip, mostly with inappropriate, unprofessional or worn tools such as traditional knives, blunt blades of cutters for cutting pipes etc. Such practice during assembling the adapter body in the pipe, results in damage or removal of the sealing O-rings from the canals as well as moving them to another place of the adapter body.

In order to minimize this situation, KAN-therm has decided to change the construction of the Eurocone adapter for KAN multi-layer pipes, precisely, to change the construction of the brass body of the adapter itself.

The change includes:
• Removal of additional O-ring seal – two O-rings have been used so far, the one is after change.
• O-ring sealing is placed closer to the "head" of the adapter body.
• Depth of the channel in which the O-ring is placed is increased.

Above changes provide greater resistance of adapters for mounting mistakes described above.

Modification concerns eurocone adapters for multilayer pipes with codes:

             1. 9012.00N – 16x2 G1/2”
             2. 9012.08N – 16x2 G3/4”
             3. 9012.02N – 20x2 G3/4”

See comparison of old and new version of construction of Eurocone adapter for multilayer pipe:

ATTENTION!

Above change does not change the assembly process of screw connections.

This means that it is not allowed to start assembly with adapter use without calibration and beveling the pipe end.
