KAN-therm H305 coupling is equipped with an EPDM gasket and allows for joining plain ends of plastic pipes in diameters DN50-DN450. One of its distinguishing features is the extremely simple connection technique, which eliminates the need to use specialized tools or qualifications. The use of the H305 coupling, as opposed to the traditional method of joining HDPE, that is welding, saves a significant amount of time (which is a scarce commodity on every construction site). It also makes work independent from weather conditions and potential risks like dealing with hot parts. The assembly is based on purely mechanical connections thanks to a special housing design, as well as bolts and nuts, with the use of the simplest of tools. It also makes it possible to move the connector to another place, so it can be re-used many times. Saving money and, most importantly, taking care of the environment!
Coupling that keeps pressure
KAN-therm H305 is significantly resistant to high pressure, being limited only by the strength of the HDPE pipes and temperature. The operating range in the case of using couplings with basic EPDM seals ranges from -34oC to 110oC. Where does such high strength come from? The body of H305 is made of ductile cast iron, the bolts and nuts from heat-treated carbon and manganese steel, and the washers from carbon steel. A real athlete in its class!
