KAN-therm uniform pipes in 5-layer construction!

In the interests of the safety and comfort of you and your customers, we constantly improve the quality of our products, which is why we decided to introduce changes in the structure of polyethylene pipes under the KAN-therm brand and to optimize the method of their packaging.

The change of the construction consists in the introduction of a five-layer structure of
PE-Xc, PE-RT (type II) and BlueFloor PERT polyethylene pipes available in the KAN-therm Push and
KAN-therm Press offer as well as the Underfloor heating offer.

Protection of EVOH layer

Change of the pipe structure from a three-layer (3L) to a five-layer (5L) has a technical aspect, especially important for installers. Five-layer pipes are a technically superior equivalents of three-layer pipes. 5-layer polyethylene pipes have an EVOH anti-diffusion layer "hidden" in the pipe wall structure. This design of the EVOH layer protects it against mechanical damage during the assembly of pipes on the construction site.

In this way, the entire installation made of 5L pipes is protected against oxygen diffusion into its interior, as a result of which the risk of corrosion of metal elements present in the installation is eliminated.

5L technology in KAN-therm pipes!

All of the existing polyethylene pipes, made in a three-layer (3L) structure, will eventually be replaced with new five-layer (5L) versions.

Technically and formally, the both versions of the pipes are exact replacements and can be used together or interchangeably within single installation.

Additional optimization is the packaging method, based over the use of cardboard packaging for all lengths of PE-Xc, PE-RT and BlueFloor PERT polyethylene pipes in the   5L version. This solution will minimize the risk of mechanical damage to the pipes during their transport and storage, both in warehouses and on the construction site.

The above changes within transition from three-layer to five-layer construction will be introduced successively.
