System KAN-therm in Porsche showroom

Every enthusiast of automotive industry in the world knows the Porsche brand and especially its legendary Nine Eleven. Porsche 911, a flagship model of the German brand, has been produced since 1964 and in recent decades earned the status of an icon of sport style, not only thanks to its achievements on the track.

More Than Half a Century of History

The original line was designed by professor Ferdinand Alexander Porsche who at the end of the 1950s drew the first sketches of the car we know today and which technical aspects as well as design have been significantly modernised. Today, Porsche 911 is a legend of automotive industry, an object of desire and fascination, while simultaneously being one of the oldest sports cars that are still coming off the production line.

Many brand antique and sports models could be admired in the Porsche Museum in Zuffenhausen (Stuttgart) that shows its exhibits across the world at the most popular automotive shows. At Porscheplatz by the Porsche Museum there is also a Porsche 911 but in an unusual artistic form. Two years ago a spectacular presentation of the “Inspiration 911” sculpture by a British artist Gerry Judah took place there. He created a 24-meter-high monument made of three columns crowned with models of Porsche 911. Each is a white and shining car representing a different fragment of the German history of the brand. Paying tribute to the tradition and opulent company history, the sculpture is a permanent attraction at the Porscheplatz. The architecture of the building is also amazing. It was designed by Delugan Meissl in collaboration with Elke Delugan-Meissl and Martin Josse

However, it was the red logo decorating the façades of halls and sales showrooms spread across the world that became the most recognisable element of the brand. One of such places is the Porsche showroom in Niederrhein-Moers in Germany where System KAN-therm Press is in charge of customers’ comfort. System KAN-therm Press is a modern and complete installation system consisting of multi-layer polyethylene pipes and PPSU or brass fittings of a diameter Ø(14) 16-63 mm.

The system is designed for internal water supply system (hot and cold tap water) and heating (cooling) installations, process heat systems and industrial systems (e.g. compressed air). The Press connecting technology consists in pressing/clamping a steel ring around a pipe fitted into the connector stub pipe. The stub pipe is provided with an O-ring to ensure that a system is leaktight and failure-free. It is aestheticallypleasing and has more than 50 years of operational durability, the system is designed for installations mounted in public spaces.
