KAN-therm Garden Tap – convenience and safety for your installation!

 

The construction of an external drinking water intake point is a crucial aspect in single-family housing. Watering the surrounding greenery or a vegetable garden, cleaning around the house, or even recreation and fun for our kids in the summer – these are just a few examples that perfectly illustrate the importance of access to water outside the building.

 

 

Until now, having such an external water intake point would also involve a certain obligation. When the summer period ended, with cold days and temperatures below 0 oC, we had to remember to empty such an installation and seal it from the inside (warm side) of the building. This guaranteed safe operation of the entire water system in winter. Failure to do so could have caused the water system damage due to the freezing of water in the pipes near the external faucet. This in turn would expose the investor to the risk of flooding in the inner portion of the building, dampness and mould on outer walls as well as additional costs associated with excessive, uncontrolled outflow of water.

A freeze-resistant garden tap is an innovative design developed by KAN specialists specifically for the purpose of providing external water points, e.g. for supplying gardens. The principle of operation of such a tap provides the possibility of water freezing in the pipes as well as the tap head itself. Thanks to its special construction and the highest quality of materials used, the product is resistant to the freezing of water.

By using this innovative solution, you can avoid the risk of damage to the system due to frost and thus increase the comfort of using the installation.

The product is certified by the German Technical and Scientific Association for Gas and Water (DVGW) for contact with utility water.
